1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StepsPoint ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, APIs, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility & User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. When registering, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Business Directory Listings & Claiming

StepsPoint compiles and publishes directory listings of public commercial businesses. Business owners or authorized representatives may claim their profile by submitting ownership verification documents or verifying phone/email OTP credentials. By claiming a business, you represent and warrant that:

• You have full legal authority to bind and represent the business entity.
• All business hours, addresses, contact details, and certifications are accurate.
• You will not misrepresent affiliations, licenses, or professional accreditations.

4. Review Submission Standards & Authenticity

StepsPoint prides itself on authentic consumer experiences. Reviews submitted to the Platform must comply with our Review Guidelines. Specifically:

• Reviews must reflect your genuine, firsthand consumer transaction or service experience.
• Business owners, employees, and paid promoters are strictly prohibited from reviewing their own business.
• Competitor sabotage, defamatory attacks, extortion, and incentivized reviews are strictly forbidden.

5. Automated Fraud Detection & Content Moderation

To safeguard marketplace integrity, StepsPoint utilizes automated heuristic and machine-learning fraud detection systems. We reserve the absolute right, in our sole discretion and without liability, to:

• Quarantine, hide, delay, or permanently delete reviews that trigger fraud or spam signals.
• Display public consumer alerts on profiles suspected of review manipulation or purchased ratings.
• Suspend or terminate accounts found engaging in coordinated review farming or extortion.

6. Featured Subscriptions & Paid Services

Businesses may purchase optional promotional features (such as Featured Business badges and category placements). All fees are non-refundable unless expressly stated otherwise in writing. Subscription renewals occur automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date via your account settings. Subscriptions do not exempt any business from negative reviews or moderation standards.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

The StepsPoint name, logo, software code, UI design, and compiled directory databases are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. By posting reviews, photos, or business descriptions, you grant StepsPoint a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and transferable license to display, distribute, and promote your content across our platform.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or harvest content from StepsPoint using automated bots, spiders, or scripts without prior written authorization. You also agree not to interfere with the proper working of the Platform or attempt to bypass security measures.

9. Disclaimers of Warranties

The Platform and all directory listings, user-generated reviews, and business information are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, accuracy, or legality of any business listed on the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StepsPoint, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, goodwill, or business reputation, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which StepsPoint operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration or competent courts.
